The Last Supper is a painting by Leonardo da Vinci, made in Santa Maria delle Grazie, Milan. Da Vinci was from Vinci, Italy, and was born on April 15, 1452. The Last Supper was worked on from 1595-1498. The painting depicts the last supper, an event from the bible where Jesus gave his disciples his body and blood, and stated that one of the disciples would betray him. The painting features many of the key elements of Renaissance art, and is considered a masterwork because of its impact on society and its significance.
