Challenges faced in lifeDa Vinci's life was far from easy, and he faced many challenges in his life. But none of these challenges got in the way of his success. One of the challenges he faced was the struggle with his homosexuality. Da Vinci was a homosexual, and at this time, that was a very uncommon and unacceptable thing. He was even arrested for using a homosexual prostitute. Another challenge he had to face was the fact that the Church didn't approve of his work, claiming that he was an anti-Christian. Because of this, he was forced to leave Italy and go to France. A third challenge in his life was his procrastination. Da Vinci was a heavy procrastinator, and often didn't finish his work. Michelangelo made fun of him for this a lot, and the two became enemies.

Family situationLeonardo da Vinci grew up in a broken family. His father often wasn't there for him, and wasn't there to raise him. If it wasn't for his mother, who loved him significantly, he wouldn't have had any sort of success because he wouldn't have been raised at all. His father couldn't be there for him due to the fact that he worked for many of the powerful families in Italy, and he even worked for the Medici family. While this was great for the father, he didn't help the rest of the family very much, and he was a bit selfish, thinking about himself but not his family.

He had many famous artworks, including Mona Lisa, the Last Supper, Vitruvian man, Lady with an Ermine, and many others. Even though these were his most famous works, he had many more works that are less well known. Many of the works he made were done in his sketchbooks, where he would sketch many different types of objects and inventions. Within his sketchbooks, he had many sketches of different concepts for his inventions. These included flying machines, tanks, cannons, and many more things that people have made working versions of by now. He made some of these inventions, but they didn't work very well, and someone even got hurt whilst riding on one of flying machines. Da Vinci also studied anatomy, drawing many sketches of the human body, which allowed him to perfect images of human bodies within his artwork. He also dissected corpses, allowing him to explore the human body in depth.

EducationDa Vinci learned a lot throughout his life, in many different fields of study. The thing that was incredible about how much knowledge da Vinci had was the fact that much of it was self-taught. He learned many things by writing down his observations. Da Vinci was educated in his father, and that is where he learned areas such as reading, writing, and other basic education. Later, he began learning about painting and sculpting, and he became an apprentice to Verrecchio, who was a very skilled artist. Leonardo was instantly realized as a great artist, and he impressed nearly everyone who he worked with. Da Vinci later joined the artist guild, which taught him how to further improve his art skills.
