Leonardo da Vinci's Legacy
The events and ideas that started within Leonardo da Vinci's life are well known, even today. From his ideas of inventions, including a flying machine, to the study of anatomy that he did, his ideas and thoughts hold an important role in our society today. Da Vinci's study of Anatomy inspired many other people to do deeper research into the human body. Da Vinci's work gave them a starting point to work from, and they would work with what they already knew to find out more about the human body. Imagine living in a world where anatomy was not a highly developed area of research. If that was the case, we had have a far less impressive system of medicine and health care. Art wouldn't have devloped, and any pictured showing a human body would have little detail and would be very basic. Without da Vinci's study of Anatomy, we would be living in a far less developed society, and this perfectly shows the legacy he holds. Another case that represents the legacy da Vinci holds is if we look at his inventions, mainly his flying machine. Had da Vinci never made the concept this flying machine, far less people would have become interested in flying. If we think about how this plays into out society, our transportation would be far different had da Vinci never made this concept. People wouldn't have become interested in flying suddenly, and people like the Wright brothers most likely wouldn't have had their ideas to invent a machine that can fly. We can see that da Vinci inspired the Wright brothers directly, because they both based their study of flight on what they observed watching birds fly. Overall, the legacy that Leonardo da Vinci holds within modern day culture is major, and without him we would be living in a completely different world.
